Fat Tire Bike Tours: Paris at Night

By admin in bike tours

On my recent blog entry at Cockpit Archives, I wrote about the incredible time five pilots and a bunch of other appealing people had on the night bike tour offered by Stout Tire Bike Tours. Our guide, John from Houston was what made it outstanding. Even though he had his bike stolen only hours before the tour, he managed to give us a unique look into the city of Paris as only a Texan could. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend taking one of these tours. They’re also offered in …

Fantastic! Tell ‘em you saw the video on YouTube. They’ll know which one. Yeah, those were some Miami pilots we happened to meet on the trip. What a fantastic time! Have fun!

That is the best video. I came across it when I googled the tour. I am a flight attendant for the same airline you work for (Miami based) and was looking for more information about the tour. I have plans to do it on Thursday. That was the best information I could get. Thanks!
BTW, I recognized on the boat that you went with numerous pilots (simple to spot…plus I have flown with one)…how did you ever get them out of the crew room? LOL. Safe travels!

I like watching your videos…I like to see how you delight in your stop overs…I’m from England and although people reckon the french are arrogant…they’re not really…one thing I noticed when with my french friend is that when you go into a shop they are pleased to help and will say hello to you…in england sometimes you dont get the personal touch that you get from paris or france…
I definitly wouldnt have a problem with living there…it just feels warm all the time…

    helobelow ,
I am french and you must know that most of french people like American people. Newspapers aren’t always right , you know ;-) . That’s a politic problem sometimes , but not a human being problem .
Nice people are everywhere in the world … terrible people too

  13. helobelow says:

LOL! Yeh i got a terrible taste in my mouth from the dumb ones Ive met and shouldnt generalize, and Ive never been so i may be a bit hasty in my judgement. All the best and it did look like a excellent time!

  14. fly4fun says:

Part II: I despise to generalize an entire population, but I like the independence that the French people seem to espouse. It’s refreshing to see a country that believes in charting it’s own course.

I haven’t run into a rude Parisian during the seven years I’ve been flying there. If you’re polite, they’re polite, it seems. But there I go again generalizing.

  15. fly4fun says:

    Thanks Helobelow.

I’ve come to a different end. I like how France has worked hard to protect it’s language, it’s culture and the things that make it unique.

  16. helobelow says:

France looks like such a gorgeous country and I’ve heard the Southern France country side is remarkable. Glad you had a wonderful time! It’s just a shame the French people tend to have that pompous and arogant attitude towards Americans even here on You-Tube and much of the research I’ve done through documentaries. It makes it hard for me to appreciate what the French have accomplished.lol.

John seems to be a small bit crazy … but amusing guy and guide .
How long does the tour last ?
